Adjacent to the shelter is the lower athletic field and a volleyball pit.

The park’s only enclosed shelter with electricity and modern restroom facilities. Hiking trails, athletic field, playground and volleyball court are nearby and foldable tables and chairs are provided. Two picnic tables and grills located on back deck. A wood burning stove provides warmth during cooler months. Ox Bow Haus is open to the public as a warming house December thru February.

Cottonwood shelter is a perfect choice for visitors looking for a setting to play outdoor sports while enjoying the scenic beauty of the park. A wooded patio next to the shelter provides spectacular views of the wetlands and forest. Just across the road, the athletic field offers a playground, archery range and plenty of room for ball sports. A volleyball court and horseshoe pit are a short walk away.

Black Maple ShelterLearn more

Located at the heart of the park, Black Maple is an open-air shelter with easy access to a number of recreational amenities. The spillway and fishing pier are just across the road providing excellent fishing opportunities. Nearby trails lead through woods and connects to a wooded boardwalk over a wetland habitat. A short walk will take you to the disc golf course, playground, athletic field, and volleyball court. Shelter includes a campfire pit.

Cobus Creek ShelterLearn more

The Cobus Creek Shelter is located at the heart of the park with easy access to the hiking trails, playground, restrooms, and parking lot. The shelter includes electricity and is handicap-accessible.

The shelter also features an enclosed catering kitchen with a sink, counter space, cabinets, and a serving station with a roll top window and counter. The main section of the facility features multiple picnic tables, a grill, and fireplace (wood not provided).

The Sensory Garden is also available to reserve as an add-on feature for $50.

Baldwin One Room SchoolhouseLearn more

Located in the mill valley, the Baldwin One Room Schoolhouse is a reconstructed turn-of-the century schoolhouse. The Elkhart County Park Foundation Community Room is located on the lower level and is reservable.

The facility includes a small kitchen, modern restrooms, tables and chairs, electricity, and a wood-burning fireplace.

Kum Mol Rie Shelter is located near the levee trail, which winds along river to the mill. The site features an open area for field sports and close access to horseshoe pits.
