As dusk and spring showers fall over our county, the croaking chorus of frogs rise. Learn how to tell them apart.

Hear the Call
ID Tips: Look for its iconic “robber’s mask” markings over the eyes and cheeks.
Unfrogettable Fact: In winter, these cool critters freeze into nearly solid “frogscicles”. Their bodies survive extreme ice exposure by producing a natural anti-freeze that protects their cells.

Don't forget to visit Ox Bow County Park for the Don't forget to visit Ox Bow County Park  for the Grief Walk tomorrow evening from 5-7pm.

This walk provides a supportive space to process grief, connect with others, and find comfort in nature. In partnership with Ryan’s Place, the Elkhart County Health Department, the Middlebury Public Library, and Elkhart County Parks, the event will feature:

- Live music by harpist, Anna Hagen, to foster reflection
- A petal drop into the Elkhart River in remembrance of loved ones
- Fire pit station for writing and releasing personal memories
- Private counseling areas with onsite therapists
- Art stations and children’s grief resources
- Comfort items like plush animals and emotional support dogs
- Light refreshments to encourage a welcoming, communal atmosphere
- An Ofrenda, a traditional altar honoring departed loved ones

All ages welcome.  Free entry into Ox Bow during event hours.
