St. Patty’s Day Scavenger Hunt

This St. Patrick’s Day, grab your cell phone and come on out to the Ox Bow Haus Shelter in Ox Bow County Park to put your detective skills to the test. Try either the Creative Family Hunt where you and your family will search for a list of items to find in the park or the Clue Challenge Hunt where riddle-enthusiasts will search for 10 hidden golden shamrocks in exchange for a small festive prize.  Here’s how it all works:

Clue Challenge Hunt:

1. Check out the clues on our Facebook or Instagram any time after 3:30 p.m. on March 17. They will also be posted at Ox Bow Haus Shelter at 4 p.m.
2. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to find them before 7 p.m….you might have to do a little hiking. Hint, hint….
3. Following the clues, seek out, and locate the golden shamrocks hidden in the park.
4. DO NOT COLLECT the shamrocks, but instead snap a photo with any you find.
5. As you take photos, please share them with us on Facebook or Instagram and include the #ecphunt2026 hashtag. Make sure your account is public or we won’t be able to see your photos!
6. There are a total of 10 shamrocks hidden. Find any or all of them….it’s up to you.
7. The hunt ends at 7 p.m.
8. Stop by Ox Bow Haus Shelter for light refreshments and a small prize anytime between 4-7 p.m.

Creative Family Hunt:

1. Visit Ox Bow Haus Shelter, anytime between 4-7pm to get a list of the items to search for in the park.
2. DO NOT COLLECT the items, but instead snap a photo with any you find.
3. As you take photos, please share them with us on Facebook or Instagram and include the #ecphunt2026 hashtag.  Make sure your account is public or we won’t be able to see your photos!
4. The hunt ends at 7 p.m.
5. Stop by Ox Bow Haus Shelter for light refreshments and a small prize anytime between 4-7 p.m.
