Yoga in the Park
Join Registered Yoga Teacher, Amanda, for an hour of empowering yoga in the park. Enjoy guided practice welcoming of all skill levels in a relaxing park environment. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, bring water, and their own mats. Participants are required to register in advance.

Oakridge Cemetery Tour
Goshen’s Oakridge Cemetery has burials that date back to 1832. It became part of the city’s operations in 1859. In this guided tour, you will learn about historical figures from Goshen’s history and explore sections dedicated to groups like the Grand Army of the Republic, the Jewish congregation Sharis Israel, and the International Organization of Odd Fellows.

Summer Astronomy
Each season brings changes to the plants and animals around us, but don’t forget about the changes above our heads. Join a Park Naturalist in hearing about the interesting Greek & Roman mythology behind many of our amazing summer constellations. All participants will also enjoy a make-n-take star chart and helpful tips on how to find the constellations. Sky viewing through a telescope will also take place depending on cloud cover and light snacks will be provided.

Volunteer Work Day
Learn new skills, care for the environment, meet new friends, and be a part of something big – sign up for a Volunteer Work Day! On 8/20, work with park staff and paddling enthusiasts to clear fallen trees and debris for easier passage through the canal. Please bring a canoe/kayak, handsaws, chainsaws, pruners, loppers, or other tools. Meet at the parking lot at Baintertown Dam in River Preserve County Park, located on C.R. 142 in Goshen (Directions here).
Plan to bring water and work gloves. Advanced registration required.

Cast Iron Cookout & Swap Meet
Experience Northern Indiana’s Premier cast iron cooking event! Dutch oven enthusiasts and spectators are invited to come out to swap recipes, sample dishes, and learn cast-iron cooking tips from the experts at the annual Dutch Oven Gathering.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
- Swap Meet (3-7 p.m.) – Buy/sale/trade cast iron cookware. To reserve a swap meet space, please call the mill at 574-825-9324. Cost for a swap meet space is $15 (Limit 25). Reserve by Aug 24.
- Food (3-7 p.m.) – Sample delicious cookout creations from the dutch oven gathering. Purchase tickets for the tasting for $5. Kettle corn and Bonneyville Mill cornbread will also be available.
- Cast Iron 101 Sessions (3:30 & 5:30 p.m.) – Learn the basics of cast iron cookware and care.
- Dutch Oven Gathering (5:30-7 p.m.) – Local cast iron enthusiasts will gather and prepare a variety of dishes.
