Animal tracking is something that can be done all year round, but in the winter it can be a little easier. Explorers will learn to read the signs that wildlife leaves behind and what those clues tell us about animal behavior. After a quick tutorial, explorers will hit the trails and practice their detective skills on an invigorating winter hike.

Join Registered Yoga Teacher Amanda for an hour of empowering yoga in the parks. Enjoy guided practice welcoming of all skill levels in a relaxing park environment. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, bring water, and their own mats – a limited number of mats will be available for use.

In February, Yoga in the Parks will celebrate the season of love with a practice at the Baldwin One Room Schoolhouse in Bonneyville Mill County Park.

Join a naturalist as we explore Ox Bow County Park through your dog’s eyes. The route will have signs placed along the path, so participants can choose to walk at their own pace with their dogs, or join the group for the one-hour one guided walk. Water and doggy bags will be available. All dogs must be on a leash and controlled at all times.

Participants will enjoy a sample of Maple syrup on pancakes with sausage and drinks (coffee, milk and juice). The sampling time will be followed by a presentation by park staff that will give step by step instructions on how individuals can produce maple syrup at home. Even one maple tree is enough to start a backyard syrup production with minimal cost in equipment.
