Come enjoy one of Michiana’s first ‘play trail’ experiences. Climb a giant caterpillar, visit a hummingbird sculpture, hide inside a honeycomb, and climb on top of the giant lady bug! Play trails are designed to be accessible and to encourage the entire family to move and explore together. This trail is designed with four different play areas spread out along a 1.5-mile looped trail. Visit one or visit them all while searching for pollinators in the nearby prairie and growing forests.

A Gift to the Community
Corson Riverwoods County Park was a gift of land from the late Tom Corson, founder of Coachmen Industries. One of his last contributions to the community was this 82-acre parcel of land with a vision to connect people to the great outdoors. With the help of multiple grants and other partners, the former agricultural field was transformed to include an accessible trail winding through new prairies and woodland habitats.

Story Book Walk
A local Eagle Scout created a Story Book Walk which features 16 stations along the trail to read about the pollinators who live in the park. The young and young at heart can read the book while strolling the trail to and from the beehive playpod.
Future Additions
In the summer of 2025 a hexagon shaped pavilion will be constructed to compliment the modern restroom. The shaded structure will host public programs, a place to eat lunch, and will allow for rentals in the future.
