Wednesday Bird Walk
Lieber Nature Preserve (Pipewort Pond)
Join us for a beautiful summer walk through Lieber Nature Preserve as we encounter seasonal birds such as orioles, warblers, sandpipers, and other birds nesting in the park for the summer. Note: Due to limited parking, the group will carpool to the site from the Elkhart County Historical Museum.
The Wednesday Bird Walks offers information on proper identification, tips on how to spot birds and recognize them by ear, and the chance to find rare or unusual species found within the Elkhart County Parks.
WHAT TO BRING: Binoculars (a few extra pairs will be available for use) and comfortable walking/hiking shoes. Other items you may wish to bring: bottled water, a hat, bugspray, field guides, and a camera.
